Quantum DSP is an IP-led B2B AI technology company from Calgary, AB, developing next-generation solutions for the guitar amplification and global audio markets. Designed for B2B licensing and global scale, our technology is based on four foundational digital signal processing inventions representing 8–11 patent opportunities. Our platform establishes a strong and defensible technological moat for partners seeking breakthrough sonic capabilities.
As professional recording musicians and previous founders we wanted to eliminate the steep barrier to entry to digital guitar amplification by removing the technical complexity for users, giving them a truly “plug in and play” user experience.

Quantum DSP’s revolutionary Q Series line of digital guitar amplifiers re-thinks the amplifier plugin as we know it, presenting users with a streamlined approach for maximizing their creativity with a simplified user interface crafted using the latest AI neural network technologies, providing unparalleled playing feel and sonic expression. Each amplifier was created with a specific genre in mind – allowing for sales scalability.
We opted for bold sci-fi and fantasy themes, much like boutique effects pedal makers, to unlock creative forces and attract a younger customer base. From cool blues to metal mayhem - Q Series does it all!
Hybrid IR™ Libraries
Hybrid IR™ libraries are high-quality, fully mixed and processed speaker cabinet impulse responses created using cutting-edge technology for phase-accurate blending of multiple microphone and speaker combinations. The process results in the creation of pre-blended vibes that are designed to eliminate the guesswork associated with singular speaker and microphone selection – allowing you to focus on creating new music. Hybrid IRs are captured in an experiential studio environment.

Alex Whitcombe
Co-Founder
Alex is a professional musician and business founder, having built and scaled a Caterpillar Inc. affiliated heavy equipment brand from zero to $40 million in revenue.
Alex has two decades of experience in the music industry as a producer, artist, Gibson Guitars USA endorsee and Mesa Engineering (amplification) endorsee, having recorded and toured internationally, thanks to a little help from Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) and Motley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx!
Jeff Bikas
Co-Founder
Jeff is a graduate of the prestigious Vancouver Film School, with a background in professional audio engineering and music production.
He is a social media marketing expert and brand development specialist having created a successful digital marketing / branding strategy for heavy equipment, as well as several digital-focused ventures in film and music. Jeff has extensive experience as a performing guitarist and was one of the early adopters of digital amplifier modelers.
Anthony Hong
Artificial Intelligence Engineer
Anthony graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 2024, with a Bachelor of Engineering and Arts, majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
Anthony brings PHD level knowledge and a fresh approach in DSP and machine learning to the Quantum team – forming an integral part of our ongoing research and development activities. While he’s not coding, you’ll find Anthony DJ’ing in some of Montréal’s hottest electronic music venues.
